Growing UP, she sailed Lake Erie and spent time on her grandfather’s horse farm. Her Eagle Scout and furry fluffballs keep her hopping. She loves to spin vinyl with her hubby. Barbara Howard is the author of two mystery series; Finding Home and The Clover City Files. She is a first generation tech geek turned master gardener. Ms. Howard returned to her Midwestern hometown after an extensive career as a Department of Defense Project Manager at the Pentagon, KPMG Eastern Region Project Leader, and Corporate Sales Representative for Borders Books & Music. She now spends most of her time treasure hunting, spoiling her fur-babies, growing veggies, plotting whodunits, and proudly serves as the president of the Great Lakes Fiction Writers.

Patricia Miller grew up in a small town in Ohio and has worked as a mental health clinical counselor for the past 35+ years. She is the award-winning author of 3 mystery collections and a sci fi tril-ogy. Her mystery collections feature illustrations from high and middle school students chosen following a call for submissions. She is best known for relatable characters, clever twists and turns, and feel-good endings. When not writing she enjoys hiking, biking and indulging in British murder mystery marathons.

Iris Matthews (she/her) has an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University, where she acted as the cohort account-ability coordinator. She graduated with a BA in history from the University of Mount Union. Putting those experiences to good use, she writes historical romance novels and contemporary romance short stories. She serves as the secretary of the Great Lakes Fiction Writers and works as a developmental editor to help other authors refine their writing. She has published a poem in Eye Contact, a literary and art magazine. She lives in Ohio with her partner, two children, and mini Aussiedoodle rescue puppy. When she isn’t writing, you can find her in the garden or traveling in a Class B motorhome.

Lisa Rabey (she/they) is a GenXer about town. Her work is published in Backward Trajectory, tiny wren lit, 50-Word Stories, the drabble, anodyne magazine, and others. Lisa Valli recently retired from the financial planning and bene-fits consulting business. As a CFP, Certified Financial Planner, she had many achievements in the business world including being fea-tured in Inc. Magazine and Who’s Who of American Women. She now enjoys exercising her “right brain” by creating stories about love, hope, and finding your happily ever after. Several of her short stories have been included in Anthologies published by the Mindful Writers Group. She resides in western Pennsylvania with her husband, Mark, and enjoys spending time with her family, especially her brand-new baby granddaughter, little Hazel Grace.
